Roaring Twenties Night QMS 2012

A night for fun, the glad rags went back in the wardrobe and out came our roaring twenties gear. Mostly borrowed especially my hat that got lots of compliments, the $10 dress from K-Mart went down well. We had a really good evening, a little more relaxed than the formal nights with lots of passengers getting into the mood. Who says we're too old to boogy!!!

On with the Glad Rags QM2 2012

Then comes the time for the glad rags to come out of the closet. Brian's new dinner suit created a few problems before we went on holiday but I must say he looked very handsome except of course the the back to front cap, no he didn't go to dinner like that I promise you. We had about 4 formal evenings and I think we scrubbed up well. Our waiters were so lovely I had to have memories of them.

So excited to be boarding the 'Queen Mary 2'. Our cabin was quite lovely, lovely pool areas for swiming and as always a place to spend money at some of the lovely shops. Two very lucky people to take such a lovely cruise.

Cape Town 2012

Picture of the 'Waterfront' in CapeTown, so much going on, beautiful shops, amazing eating places and so cheap. Our visit to 'Table Mountain' was good except for the weather, apparently conditions can change within minutes. We were very lucky to have been able to go to the top of 'Table Mountain' as the very smallest change in the wind or cloud and they close it down. Unbelievable

Brian and I arrived at 'Orchard Road' in the sunshine for a shopping day, came out of the shop two minutes later to this. Was it something.

Roaring 20's Queen Mary 2 2012

This is just a dress rehearsal for the roaring 20's evening on the Queen Mary 2, South Africa to Fremantle. Don't know about you but I think Brian looks amazing - bit of a gangster streak too I think!!!!

Wow Nanag Mummy & Grandy look at these waves, mummy watches closely, William is loving it so much, great stuff Will you did so well jumping all of those really big waves.

Happy 30th Kara

Two days late celebrating Kara's 30th with the family and her surprise cake. Her eyes are closed I hope she isn't sleeping!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY YOU'RE THE BEST xx

Some of the fun times with Kara Dan and William during their stay with us at Christmas time, car time with Grandy on Will's play table, footy in the street and in the park with Samantha, surfing at the river and jumping off the jetty with our friends kids, William loved it so much. Our day at the Zoo, Dan cooking something yummy but we didn't get to know the name of it, William is making sure Santa doesn't miss calling Christmas morning so with the help of Grandy he put the sign in the garden, last of all the reindeer sparkle dust to show the way to Nanag and Grandy's garden with all those that love him.

Christmas Day Gary and Julie's 2011

Julie and Gary put on an amazing day in their new home. So many helpers all eager for the special Christmas dinner. Then came present time with William being the main helper and handing out gift eagerly awaiting the time when his present came from under the tree. He did a good job and brought on lots of giggles. Kara and Julie with arms full of gift, we all did so well. Thank God for beautiful family.
